Caine admiration

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Alfie, Get Carter, and The Italian Job together are three of the coolest roles ever. Michael Caine was one cool SOB back in the day. And the modern remakes of all three pale in comparison.

Speaking of remakes, I presume the next 60s Caine film that's up will be the Ipcress File?

Caine was cool. He had this lean sensitive face going just a bit jowly, curly hair beginning to thin. In a mac, he looked a perfect spy (the LeCarre variety) or a super sleuth.

Caine is pretty cool.

An original photo reproduced on canvas of him and Roger Moore is being auctioned for SOS Children at http://www.soschildrensvillages.org.uk/charity-auction/view?id=16

Even now, Caine is cooler than Jude Law, Mark Wahlberg, and Sylvester Stallone. I'm so glad that he's playing Alfred in the new Batman movie, and I'm sure when it comes out we'll learn that everything the Dark Knight knows about cool he learned from Alfred.

I also think it's incredible that Caine could star in such tat as Jaws: the Revenge and still maintain his coolness.

Caine will be awesome as Alfred.
