The Ashes

It's Tests like the current England-Australia one that make me wish one didn't have to pay extra for cricket on cable. Sounds like a corker of a game. Chasing 129 to win, with Shane Warne and Brett Lee bowling well, England take it by 3 wickets. Excuse any terminology mistakes - I do sometimes let slip (ha) some baseball jargon...

I watched the game, I watched the game!!!! Yeah, Warne and Lee bowled unbelievably... and more so when you consider the Aussies still came so close with only half their bowling strength (can you even imagine what a difference McGrath would have made?! Ok, Gillespie's been in undeniably dreadful form but cf the cretin Tate (26 runs off 4 overs!!! AND when batting he got himself out so stupidly....)) etc, etc. When Warney bowled Geraint Jones out in the 27th over - the amount of spin in that ball was unbelievable - with England needing 13 runs to win I thought I was going to suffer a heart attack. So yeah, it was a great - epic - game but I think it has taken some years off my life......
