Germany, overall

Now that I'm back in Singapore, this is the last post I'll do about Germany for a while... as you might have noticed, photos of my journey are up, and I've written quick thoughts on two museums, the Ludwig in Cologne and the Kunstmuseum in Bonn, in Delta Sierra Arts, my reviews blog. And one last thing, here's something I picked up at a German petrol station, a snack with a funny name:

to make the thing worst, they are or they were called Nigerkusse (Black's kiss) in latin- america would be (besos de negra). They are imposible from whereever you look at them.
But then again in Germany politicaly correct doesn't mean anything.
…and they taste good and come in three styles some covered with white, dark, and milk chocolate.
I can live with the sexy, but not with the other.

these used to be called and sold as: "Negerküsse". none of this "Schokoküsse" PC business, they were called "Negro kisses" for ages. can't find images of that anywhere online.

Dog blogs, plus the I look like my dog "contest"

I've just discovered Puptastic , another dog blog, and learnt the following disturbing facts: 1. The dog most likely to eat you when you're dead is the Dachshund. Beware the hot dog! 2. Some people look a lot like their dogs . A lot. But only if they own pedigrees . Actually, I've heard about this study for a long time - it made its rounds on the Net a while back. It's a selection thing. Anyway, the post had a link to pictures of what they claimed was a "I Look Like My Dog" contest (urban legend alert - I think it's more likely to be just a series of regular Cesar ads), including this one: Update: some quick Googling shows that the idea that this is a dog-resemblance contest is almost certainly not true. Presumably the "winners of the 'I Look Like My Dog' contest line was meant to be facetious, but people have taken it seriously.
